IBM POS
Integration and Extension Solutions:
BatchPOS
BatchPOS is a background
application that takes transaction data from an input file
and processes these transactions within your IBM POS Terminal
Sales application. Transactions with exceptions can be flagged
and made available for subsequent review. Retailers can also
automate the handling of certain exceptions by specifying
appropriate parameters.
Some
applications of BatchPOS are:
1. Sale Transaction data from a Mainframe application needs
to be manually entered into the IBM POS application. Instead
of entering it manually, the ringing up of these transactions
can be automated by using BatchPOS.
2. Customers place orders using the online web application
of a Retailer. These orders can be "rung up" using
BatchPOS and the resulting Receipt (from the retailer's IBM POS
application) can be printed, assembled with the customer's
picked order and then delivered to the customer.
